It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
And I don’t mean the ho-ho-hos, the latkes, and the kwanzaa candles. I’ll piously hold out hope that I find a place and a place in my heart to celebrate that as well, but at least more me, that’s not an option.
But at least I now have at least one football game a day between now and the second day of 2023 to look forward to.
Beginning tonight, with an important NFC West game between the suddenly unstoppable 49ers and the struggling Seahawks, in my favorite part of the country, TV will provide at least one college or pro football game. 40 FBS bowl games, plus 48 pro football games, and a couple of FCS title games as well. Virtually around the clock.
Here’s the full list of bowl games, all of which at the moment on a path to be played, the first such full slate since 2019. Some of the matchups fall into the category of “are you kidding me” or merely preparation for following the draft. But, given any other affordable option, I’ll be watching,

I’ll likely be bleary-eyed by then, but probably not for the reason you may think.
Ill hopefully have a reason to be watching other than for companionship and fanaticism. I suppose some of you will have oars in the water for some of these games. Perhaps we might have a reason to chat about them directly.
I really, REALLY could use the interaction.
This much football is arguably an overdose. Too much of a good thing? Hard to say.
But at least for nineteen consecutive days, it’ll give me something to look forward to.
And for any of you in my place right now, perhaps it’ll help you through the holidays, too.
There’s a link below that’ll give you an idea exactly why I’m in the mindset I’m in, Click on it if you choose. Share it if possible. React as requested if possible.
Meantime, I’ll be following a lot of sports. Hopefully watching while walking and doing some volunteer work and, when I can afford it, driving some people somewhere more fun.
My nineteen will hopefully make me more steely, Dan. (see what I did?)
Sure hope you’re having a better time.
Courage….
